Days of Operation - 2010

The Portage Flyer resumed operation July 1, 2010

The Pioneer Village is open daily May 22nd to October 9th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last admission 3:00pm).  The Muskoka Museum will be featuring "Great Nations".  Please check the Muskoka Heritage Place website for more details.  

Our apologies to those of you wanting to ride the Portage Flyer this Spring. Operation will begin July 1, 2010 with our diesel-electric locomotive.  Steam operation will resume when required inspections have been completed.  These have been delayed by the reconstruction of the rail yard this spring.

Operating Schedule

July & August
Tuesday through Saturday - noon, 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00pm

September & October
Tuesday through Friday - 1:00pm only
Saturday - noon, 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00pm

Our vintage diesel-electric locomotive pulls the train spring and fall, while steam normally operates July and August*.  Please check back for further details when available.  *see note above
