Days of Operation - 2011

The Pioneer Village is open daily May 21st to October 8th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last admission 3:00pm).  The Muskoka Museum will be featuring "Great Nations".  Please check the Muskoka Heritage Place website for more details.  

Steam operation has returned to the Portage Flyer for July and August.  While we expect to run steam each operating day, this is always subject to change.

Operating Schedule

July & August
Tuesday through Saturday - noon, 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00pm

September & October
Tuesday through Friday - 1:00pm only
Saturday - noon, 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00pm

Our vintage diesel-electric locomotive pulls the train spring and fall, while steam normally operates July and August*.  Please check back for further details when available.  *see note above
